- Perimeter Forms: Wooden forms installed around the edges with stakes for support
- Orange Marking Spray: Construction marking visible on the surface indicating locations for thickened concrete pads (future 2-post car lift foundation)
- Site Boundaries:
- White lattice fence on the left (neighbor’s property line)
- Natural wood fence on the right side
- Shed visible in right background
- Existing House: White house visible in the left background
- Fall Setting: Clear blue sky with autumn-colored trees
Construction Details
The foundation bed appears to be the prepared surface for the 24’ x 40’ garage slab specified in the contract. The forms are set to create the perimeter of the 4” concrete floor with the rat wall system.
Technical Observations
- Foundation appears level and properly graded
- Forms are straight and properly staked
- Orange markings indicate locations for thickened concrete pads for the future 2-post car lift
- These areas will not receive Creatherm insulation (visible in later photos as square openings)
- Allows for thicker concrete to support lift mounting bolts
- PEX radiant heating loops will be routed around these pads to prevent damage during lift installation
