Description
End-of-trip “haul” photo showing the loaded Home Depot orange flatbed cart immediately before checkout (~7:09 PM register stamp per receipt). Captures the bulk of the Phase 1 small-parts buy: blue plastic new-work boxes (1-gang Cantex and 2-gang Carlon dominating the lower basket), metal octagons with brackets, the GFCI 4-packs (smaller white boxes near top), Klein hand tools (linesman pliers + Kurve stripper in their orange Klein packaging, upper left), the breaker carton, tape rolls, and the Empire torpedo levels.
Visible Elements
- Lower basket — boxes: Heavy mix of blue 1-gang Cantex and 2-gang Carlon plastic new-work boxes (18 + 16 = 34 plastic boxes total per receipt), plus a few of the Southwire 4” octagon F-bracket boxes
- Upper basket — devices & tools:
- 4-pack 20A GFCI outlet cartons (2 × white boxes — total 8 GFCIs)
- Klein hand-tool packaging (orange/black) for the 8” angled head linesman pliers and Klein-Kurve wire stripper
- 3M Scotch Super 33+ electrical tape 3-pack
- 3M Temflex electrical tape (3 single rolls)
- Eaton BR 20A 1-pole breaker cartons (10 breakers — likely bundled near top of basket)
- Empire 9” torpedo level (2)
- Empire 7” aluminum rafter square
- 12 white nylon TR duplex outlets
- 1-gang switch wallplate 10-packs (3)
- 6 toggle switches single-pole + 6 three-way (in shrink wrap)
- Cable staples 175-pack (3/4” plastic)
Receipt Cross-Reference
Full itemized line-by-line breakdown is in the 2026-05-24 HD receipt — see HD Phase 1 Receipt PDF. Cart totals: 530.38 with tax on AMEX ending 3006.
Why This Photo
Visual reference for the scale of a single big-box electrical run. Useful when the future-reader (or a future Phase X shopping trip) wants to estimate roughly how much cart space the next bulk-parts run will need. Also serves as a quick “did everything actually make it home” check against the receipt — the photo and the PDF together establish what physically left the store.
Notes on What’s NOT in the Cart
Per the 120V Shopping List day-of plan, these items were intentionally deferred and are NOT visible in the cart:
- Smurf tube (3/4” ENT conduit) + adapters + couplings + LV brackets — saved for Menards Mt Pleasant trip (cheaper there per BOM comparison: ~$37 saved on ENT coils)
- Steel nail plates ×30 — deferred to Menards (1.23, ~$21 saved)
- BR120GF 1-pole 20A GFCI breaker — still pending; HD Mt Pleasant did not have it on the shelf
- 50’ 12/3 NM-B yellow — still pending; was OOS at HD per the BOM cart status
- Klein D213-9NE 9” linesman, Klein 11055 basic stripper, Klein D2000-28 dikes, Klein NCVT-3P, Klein 32500, Estwing E16C — partial apprentice kit; got the angled-head pliers (8”) and Klein-Kurve stripper substitutes this trip, rest of the kit deferred
- 20A WR outlets for lift bay (×2) — deferred (Menards better price)
- 40 standard TR outlets — only 12 pulled this trip from in-store stock; remaining 28 to come from Menards back-order or HD delivery 3-packs
