Description
Captured the moment Conor Gahagan (“CG”) carved his initials beside those of his parents—“DG” for Dan Gahagan and “SM” for Stephanie Munger—into the curing concrete. The initials sit next to the blue conduit that carries the future slab sensor, tying a family touch to the mechanical heart of the build.
Observations
- Initials etched cleanly into the concrete surface while the slab was still green
- Light concrete dust from saw cutting still present on the surface
- Blue sensor conduit and orange utility sleeve visible at the left edge of frame for site context
- Adds a personal marker to the foundation before it becomes enclosed by framing and finished floors
Next Steps
- Photograph the area again after sealing or finishing to preserve the inscription in project records
- Note the location in future finish plans to keep the initials visible or documented before covering
