Description
Two exterior junction boxes mounted on the NW corner of the house where SLS Electric ran two 1” conduits from the garage to the house. This conduit run was not originally known to be in scope but provides a dedicated pathway for pulling wires between the two structures. The conduits go underground from these boxes and run to the garage, where they transition into a single 2” conduit through the garage floor.
Visible Elements
- Junction Boxes:
- Two weatherproof electrical boxes mounted vertically on house exterior
- Gray metallic finish, standard outdoor-rated enclosures
- Mounted on stone/masonry foundation below vinyl siding
- Conduit stub-downs entering ground below each box
- Conduit Route:
- Two 1” conduits run underground from house to garage
- Enter ground directly below the junction boxes
- Route to garage where they merge into single 2” conduit through floor
- House Exterior:
- White vinyl siding above stone foundation
- Orange bucket visible near corner (left side)
- Bare earth at foundation line from recent trenching work
Unexpected Scope Addition
These conduits were not originally understood to be part of the SLS Electric scope of work. The two 1” conduits provide additional pathways between house and garage beyond the main electrical service conduit, potentially useful for low-voltage runs, network cabling, or additional circuits.
