Description
SLS Electric dug a small inspection hole to expose the underground 200A feeder wire running between the house and garage. The trench reveals the buried wire at depth for the building inspector to verify proper burial depth and routing during tomorrow’s electrical inspection (April 9, Thursday).
Visible Elements
- Inspection hole: Small rectangular excavation in the backyard between house and garage
- Underground wire: Black feeder wire visible at the bottom of the trench, confirming proper burial
- Soil conditions: Sandy/clay soil; ground fully thawed after the months-long frozen ground delay (Dec 18 - Mar 24)
- Boots/feet: Photographer’s feet visible at bottom of frame for scale
Notes
This is the same wire run that was partially completed on December 18, 2025 (house side only) before frozen ground halted work. The trench was completed on March 24, 2026 after natural spring thaw. The inspector needs to verify burial depth meets code requirements (24-36” for residential feeder).
