Description
Interior view from inside the garage looking out through the two main garage door openings. This photo documents the modified framing after the openings were raised from 7 feet to 8 feet in height. The modification was necessary because the framing crew had been given incorrect prints during the original build — the garage doors were correctly ordered at 8 feet tall, but the openings were originally framed at 7 feet.

Context
This modification was completed on January 13, 2026, resolving the garage door sizing issue discovered on January 5, 2026. Originally, it was thought the doors had been ordered incorrectly (8 feet wide vs 7 feet wide openings). However, it was determined that the doors were ordered correctly at 8 feet tall — the problem was that the contractor received incorrect prints showing 7-foot openings. The framing crew modified all three openings from 7 feet to 8 feet in height to match the correctly-ordered doors.
With this modification complete, the garage door installation can now proceed once the doors are delivered (approximately 1 month from January 5 order correction).
