Description
The ceiling light box for Bay 2 (the middle bay) — a 4” square metal box on its F-bracket cross-member. Here the NM-B is properly stapled/secured to the truss members on both sides of the pass-through, satisfying NEC 334.30 (contrast with the bay 3 box, whose cable still needs securing within 12” of the box).
No mud ring yet: this box was installed before the mud covers arrived from Amazon (the OHLECTRIC 5/8” mud rings, order 114-1258773, received 2026-06-07). A mud ring still needs to be fitted to this box now that they’re on hand.
Circuit status: not energized yet
Both this ceiling lighting line and the workbench-height outlet line are not yet connected to the panel — they’re being finished out first, then a home run will be pulled back to the breaker panel and landed on a 20A breaker. Treat as de-energized for now.
