Description

The ceiling light box for Bay 3 (the lift bay) — a 4” square metal box mounted to its F-bracket cross-member with a 5/8” mud ring, fed by yellow 12-ga NM-B dropping in from the run above. The start of the 5-fixture Barrina LED chain is visible mounted to the truss bottom chords, continuing the per-bay longitudinal run first lit on June 7.

Code item to correct: NM-B not secured within 12" of the box

The NM-B feeding this box is not yet stapled within 12 inches of the box, as required by NEC 334.30 (cable must be secured within 12” of every box/enclosure). This is a temporary state from the short install session — few wire staples were placed yet. Fix before rough-in inspection: add staples so each cable is secured within 12” of the box and at ≤4’-6” intervals along the run.
